Turmeric and its different uses

 Turmeric (Curcuma) has been in the news over the last few years. It surprised many Asians when the news about Turmeric's health benefits came into the limelight overnight. Their Kitchen never ran out of turmeric or missed any curries or dishes that they made. They were using this wonderful spice in their cooking every single day with its hidden health benefits. Like any other Asian, I have grown up using Turmeric not only in cooking but in many different ways. Here is a list of different ways Turmeric can be used other than cooking giving more or less the same health benefits 1) Wounds or burns: any time anyone in my family gets hurt or burn fingers while cooking, the first thing my dad would say from that corner is to apply turmeric powder or its paste. Parenting monster energy to rainbows

March Break Science Camp (March 16-20, 2020) Rainbow water experiment Parenting can be fun with these science experiments, I would like to call it Science Parenting:-) My 5-year-old daughter loves Rainbow colors (who doesn't love it!) But we got bored with those rainbow crayons, crafts, and those multiple rainbow products in the market. So keeping the rainbow theme, I decided to make our laboratory rainbow at home. The results were amazing and the joy that sparkled on my kid's face is worth a million dollars (again!). So, I decided to have this fun project for 4 to 12 year-old kids which will imbibe the fun element with knowledge. Take home message for kids? 1) How to make rainbow water? 2) What happens when we mix the rainbow colors/ solutes? 3) Solubility , Saturation, Density and how temperature affects the process?
